While Daddy's Away. . .
The monkeys will play! Jeremey is in California for five days with the guard, so Grandma Cy came to stay with us and boy, have we had fun! Saturday we went to a parade in St Joe. It was a little windy, but we still enjoyed it. Sunday afternoon we went to the park for a picnic and to go down Rebekah's favorite yellow slide.
On Monday, we went to the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead in Overland Park, KS. It's a very neat place with lots of animals, playgrounds, and exhibits. It wasn't very busy, so the kids were able to spend a lot of time out of the stroller, walking to the different areas. It was a really fun time, and we definitely plan to go back! Right inside the entrance, there was this little waterfall with benches just perfect for the kids and I to pose for a picture.
The slides were one of our favorite things to do. Aaron liked to watch to see who was going to come down next. Rebekah loved climbing inside the barn to get to the slides.
There was a very neat little garden with lots of different flowers, herbs, and plants. There were also some things for the kids to play on, which made for some great photo opportunities!

We were able to feed some baby goats and sheep. Aaron did really great and held out his hand for them to eat out of. Rebekah was a little more uncertain and normally ended up just throwing hers into the pen when the animals would get too close. She did, however, spend a lot of time gathering food off the ground to give to them. She just didn't like the idea of them eating it out of her hand.
