Rebekah's First Day of Pre-K
Today was the first day of pre-k for Rebekah at St Joe Christian School (SJCS). We went to back to school night on Monday night, and she was pretty excited to sit in the gym for the program, see her class and meet her teacher (Mrs. Bocquin), and then explore the school. This morning at 10:15 she asked if it was lunch time yet because she knew she went to school after lunch. She was very excited!
We got to her class a few minutes early so we could take pictures and make a good transition. She was totally fine, and so was I! Jeremey was convinced I was going to cry-sorry to disappoint!
Outside her class-notice the duck theme. Very appropriate since Jeremey calls her "duckadoo".
Celebrating a successful first day with popsicles and feeding the ducks.
One of her crafts today, a duck hat. Hard to tell in the picture, but it's really cute!
Highlights from her day:
*Chocolate milk at snack time
*Helper for Mrs. Bocquin
*Line Leader
*Brought home the snack bag, so she brings snacks for next week
Memorable Quote: (on the way to school)
"Aaron, do you want to meet my teacher? She doesn't even look mean!"
We are so thankful for a good first day. When we got home, Rebekah said she didn't want to be at home. She wanted to be back at school. A very good sign!
