Aaron is Two!

Birthday Celebrations

Aaron turned two on January 3 and we did lots of celebrating! When the Smidt side of the family was here over New Years, he opened some presents and all the cousins got to decorate and eat cupcakes.
On his birthday, we went to Coldstone Creamery with Grandpa and Grandma Cy for ice cream and he opened a few more gifts.
The Heronemus side came down the middle of January and we had a birthday party with family and friends. The theme was all about construction. The kids all got to decorate some yellow hard hats while waiting for lunch, which included sandwiches and chips that were served in the back of his toy dump trucks.

He then got to dig into his cake, which was modeled after a small construction site. It had a front end loader, a dump truck, and rocks. The rocks were actually candy, but the kids didn't know that and were totally floored when Jeremey ate one! It was priceless!

He cheered after we were done singing "Happy Birthday." He was very interested in the two candles on the cake as he tried to touch them and said "fire!"Happy birthday, little buddy!
