Halloween Weekend
Wow, we've had a lot go on the past few days over our weekend. Grandma H. came down to visit us on Thursday and Friday. She got to watch Rebekah at gymnastics Thursday night and then dropped her off at school on Friday morning and we handed out treats at Trunk-or-Treat. After spending some time at the play area in the mall with Aaron and meeting Jeremey for lunch, she headed back to Orange City. Thanks for visiting, Grandma H.-we had a lot of fun!
Saturday we spent the afternoon outdoors, raking and playing in leaves. The kids had a blast, and we got a lot of work done! It was one of those picturesque fall afternoons-nice and warm with a slight chill in the air, kids running down the hill and jumping in the leaves. We had a great time. Jeremey smoked pork tenderloin on the grill, so it smelled wonderful, too!
Up until Wednesday, Rebekah was going to be a black cat for Halloween. She then decided that was not what she wanted to be, and opted to be a cowgirl instead.
We went trick-or-treating to a few houses in our neighborhood and when we got home, the cowgirl and Iowa State football player got to pick one of their pieces of candy for a bedtime snack. They both chose suckers, which they thoroughly enjoyed. It was quickly followed by bath time!
